Chronic pain workshop offered at MTEC

ESCANABA — A chronic pain management workshop is being offered at the MTEC on Thursday, Jan. 19. The chronic pain management workshop is a six-week workshop designed to provide the skills and tools needed to help people living with chronic pain or loved ones caring for one with pain to learn the skills they need to manage their symptoms. People find they are better equipped to face the daily challenge of their health. Two trained leaders conduct the workshop.

Subjects covered include: lack of energy, sleep problems, depression, fatigue, pain, staying active, medication and much more.

The six-week class will meet on Thursday mornings at the MTEC center room 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning on Thursday, Jan. 19, and ending Thursday, Feb. 23. Class sizes are limited and pre-registration is required-family and caregivers are welcome to sign up. There is no cost to attend.

Call the YMCA to register at 789-0005. The program administered by UPCAP, with support from the Northern Lights YMCA.
