ESCANABA — Patrick Barron, owner of A.M. Express Inc., Michaele Charles, operations manager tanker division, and Angela Pouliot, director of safety and human resources, recently made the decision to sell the dry bulk division, otherwise known as the “lime division” to FLASH, the pneumatic experts, with corporate headquarters in Green Lake, Wis.

“Freight Lime and Sand Hauling” known as FLASH, began hauling lime to paper mills in 1987. In 2008, FLASH expanded its Dry Bulk Lime Division into Port Inland, Mich., when its customer opened a plant in the U.P.

Mandi (McConnell) Hinrichs joined her parent’s company to lead the sales and marketing efforts in 2008, and transitioned to president in 2014. FLASH continues to grow its pneumatic capabilities through organic growth and acquisition. “We are excited to continue the great service A.M. Express has provided their customers and have their lime drivers join our team,” Hinrichs said.
