Grover Real Estate office expands staff

MANISTIQUE — Grover Real Estate announces the addition of two salespersons.

Abbey Wood, of Manistique, recently became licensed as a real estate salesperson. Growing up the daughter of an entrepreneur and builder, she shadowed her dad for years as he built cabins, homes, and small businesses. Her love for real estate runs deep. “My love for real estate coupled with my hard work ethic and superb communication skills will prove to serve me well in this industry. I am truly proud to be a part of the team at Grover…,” Wood said. Wood graduated from Manistique High School in 2010, is an avid reader, and loves to spend time outdoors with her family.

Julie Barr recently joined the sales team. Barr comes to Grover with 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, which included everything from contract negotiations for the agencies represented, to marketing those same agencies to selling life, health, auto, and homeowners insurance products. She is a 1980 graduate of Manistique High School and attended Michigan Tech.

“This is another step in coming “home” for me, to something I have been dreaming of doing since I bought my own first home. It can be a stressful time for folks and my goal is to eliminate as much of that stress as possible. I’m passionate about serving others and look forward to working in our community in this new role,” she said. She lives in Manistique with her husband Alan. They love to fish, have three grown children, and her favorite role is playing Grandma to grandson Ben.

Grover Real Estate has been in the area for over 40 years and is locally owned and operated by David and Susie Muxlow. “We are very happy to have Abbey and Julie on board, bringing new ideas and a fresh perspective to our business. We believe this will enhance our client services, giving us the ability to better serve the buyer and sellers’ needs,” David said.
