U.P. State Bank expands to Gladstone

GLADSTONE — Upper Peninsula State Bank Board of Directors, officers, and staff gathered with development partners and city officials Wednesday to celebrate the ground breaking of Upper Peninsula State Bank’s newest office location in Gladstone, located at 1 Lowrie Avenue, on the corner of South Hill Road and Lake Shore Drive.

“We are so excited to be here. This is something we have looked forward to for a long time,” said Board Chairman Robert Bink. “Gladstone is a great community. Both customers and non-customers have suggested and asked us for a presence in this community, and so here we are. This office will become a show piece for this community. It will be a beautiful bank and will provide outstanding, modern banking service to the citizens of Gladstone.”

The new Gladstone office is designed to have the same welcoming feel and curb appeal that the Escanaba office has. This 5,000 square foot building will be a full service office, including a tower to showcase local businesses and a drive-thru ATM.

Construction has already begun and is expected to be completed by winter of this year.

The Upper Peninsula State Bank team is excited this new office will allow them to continue to provide the personalized service their customers have come to expect, bank officials stated in a press release.

“This is an exciting time for Upper Peninsula State Bank as we begin a new chapter in our bank history. This new location will provide greater convenience and allow us to expand our brand of banking to the Gladstone and surrounding communities,” Upper Peninsula State Bank President & CEO David Williams said.
