Shelby and Bradley Ives

BARK RIVER — Bradley Donald Ives married his high school sweetheart Shelby Danette Fishell on July 2 at the Bark River Bible Church. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Bradley Cochrane. A reception celebrating the newlyweds followed at the Terrace Bay Hotel.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Kelly Fishell of Bark River. Shelby is a 2009 graduate of Bark River-Harris High School and a 2013 graduate of Grand Valley State University. Shelby is employed at Butch’s Carpet Center in Escanaba, as an office manager and designer.

The groom is the son of Donald and Ruth Ives of Bark River. Bradley is a 2010 graduate of Bark River-Harris High School and 2015 graduate of Grand Valley State University. Bradley is employed at Bark River-Harris School as a third grade teacher.

Serving as maid of honor was Heidi Heers, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Caitlynn Fishell, sister of bride; Crystal Fishell, sister of bride; and Rachelle Ives, Karrie Myers, and Elizabeth Dell, all friends of the bride.

Michael Floyd, cousin of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Derek Olson, Mitchell Wentland, Andrew Hamilton, and Nickolas Burns, all friends of the groom. Seating the wedding guests were Cole Ray and Dionte Malone, both cousins of the groom.

Rian Koller, nephew of the bride, along with Emma and Ella Wallo, both cousins of the bride, were the ring bearer and flower girls.

The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and are making their home in Bark River.
