Blake – Nelson

BARK RIVER – Sydnee Blake and Nicholas John Nelson were united in marriage on July 20 during a ceremony held at the Woodland Valley Park in Harris. Bruce Hanson officiated at the outdoor ceremony.

Sydnee is the daughter of Nikki and Craig Edwards of Tennessee. Nick is the son of Gerry and Laurie Nelson of Bark River.

The bride selected Becca Deleon of Tennessee to be her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were: Natalie Randall of Iowa and Natasha Tourangeau of Bark River, both sisters of the groom; Cheyenne Wenick and Cami LaBonte of Tennessee, and Erin Robinette of California, all friends of the couple; and Kristi Turner of Tennessee and Jamison Fricke of Colorado, both friends of the bride.

Best man was Scott Stuible of Tennessee. Groomsmen were: Jesse Randall of Iowa and Roger Tourangeau of Bark River, both brothers-in-law of the groom; Ryan Brayak of New York and Kyle Meiers of Escanaba, cousins of the groom; and Curtis Robinette of California, Phil LaBonte and John Wenick of Tennessee, all friends of the couple.

Ring bearers were Chase Wenick and Pryor LaBonte. Flower girl was Aven Randall, niece of the groom. Seating the guests were Travis Brayak of California, a cousin of the groom, and David Canton of Michigan, the bride’s cousin. Readers were Tamara Ingram of New York, a cousin of the groom, and Travis Brayak.

Special guests were Nick’s cousins from Australia, Nick and Marie Brava, who came to surprise him.

Nick is a 2003 graduate of Bark River-Harris and received his associate’s degree in computer science from Bay de Noc Community College. He is employed as an IS Project Manager for Federal Mogul in Tennessee.

Sydnee received her degree from MTSU and is employed as an English teacher.
