Class of 1954 reunion

Spiritual healing service

ESCANABA — Fr. Ryan Ford will be leading a healing service at St. Anne Church, 817 South Lincoln Road, Escanaba on Thursday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m. The service is not a mass and is for those in need of a physical, emotional, relational or spiritual healing.

Eagles breakfast Sunday

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles #1088 will serve breakfast 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 17 at the Eagles Hall, located at 608 Ludington Street in Escanaba.

There is a fee to attend the breakfast. The public is welcome to attend.

Free foot clinic Thursday

ESCANABA — The YMCA will be hosting a Feet First Clinic on Thursday, March 14th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the M-TEC center located just west of Bay College’s Escanaba campus.

Physical therapists from UP Health System/Doctors Park Rehab will assist with gait analysis, stride length and postural alignment. Certified Pedorthist David Brown will assist with orthotic and insole recommendations for your specific foot type. Shoe expert Kevin Thomsen will assist with fitting you for the perfect shoe type. YMCA Personal Trainer Sam Nelson will assist with knowledge on proper exercises for core strengthening and tips on getting started on the journey to fitness.

St. Thomas pasty sale

ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church will hold a pasty sale March 18 and 19. Pasties are available with or without rutabaga.

Pick up will be at St. Thomas Parish Hall, 1820 9th Ave North in Escanaba from 2 to 5 p.m.

To order, call 789-9205. Orders will be taken until 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.

Manistique Legion sets March meeting

MANISTIQUE — The American Legion Post 83 of Manistique will meet at the VFW Hall on Maple Street at 7 p.m. on March 20.

Beginner line dancing classes held Fridays

GLADSTONE — If you can walk, you can line dance.

The Gladstone Senior Center hosts senior line dancing every Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. There are no fees, and you do not need to be a member of the Senior Center to participate.

Line dancing requires no partner or special equipment, and the center has a wide variety of musical genres.

Salvation Army social services available

ESCANABA — Social service assistance from the Salvation Army is available 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the Community Services Building.

The Soup Kitchen is open noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
