Bark River-Harris’s junior high art class participated in the Lions’ annual International Peace Poster Contest. The contest is open to young people, ages 11-13 and is an opportunity to think about peace, creatively express what it means to them and share their own unique visions with the world. Shown above, from left to right, are Mrs. Bernie Haeusler, first place winner McKenzie Hoffmeyer, second place winner Emily van Ginhoven and third place winner Abigail Martin. Hoffmeyer’s winning poster will advance to competition within the Lions SD10, which covers the entire Upper Peninsula.
