ESCANABA — Holy Name Catholic School held a blessing of the school’s new lockers on Thursday, Jan. 25, following the weekly school-wide Mass. Father Eric Olson, pastor of St. Joseph and St. Patrick Parish (one of the four Holy Name supporting parishes), blessed the lockers and the students in both the elementary and middle school wings of the school. Students, families/donors and friends of Holy Name attended the Mass and the blessing afterward by Father Olson.

“Thank you, Father Eric, for blessing our new lockers,” Holy Name Catholic School Alumni/Development Director Michelle Bink said, “and God bless our donors who made this project possible.”

Holy Name’s annual fundraising drive is still ongoing in which people can “name your locker.” Here is how the “name your locker” drive works: with a charitable donation of $200 or more, Holy Name Catholic School will purchase and install a stainless steel engraved dedication nameplate on one of the new lockers. Personalized locker dedications are still available for those who would like to dedicate one or more lockers. Donation cards can be picked up in the Holy Name office or by going online using the link: Click on the “Support Holy Name” tab and then click on “Locker Campaign Donation” tab, or for more information, call Holy Name at (906) 786-7550.
