ILCW to host annual Lenten breakfast event

ESCANABA — The annual Lenten Breakfast and Musical Program at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 600 South Lincoln Road, Escanaba will be held Saturday, Feb. 3 at 9:15 a.m. with the program to follow at 10 a.m. with the theme ‘Listen, God is Calling.’

This year the musical program includes the Immanuel Choir under the direction of Ray Miller and guest soloists, Travis Dubord, Macy Neumeier, and Lynn Soderberg. Favorite hymns will be sung by the congregation. The message will be given by Marilyn Noble.

Seating for the breakfast is limited to 200, program seating is unlimited. Please call for your breakfast reservation by Monday, Jan. 29 to 786-6771 or 233-1857. Nursery care will be provided upon request.

A free will donation for the breakfast and musical program will be received at the program. The ILCW will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Delta County Cancer Alliance.

Come to this annual community event and share fellowship during this Lenten season with food, music and message.

Elks Auxiliary meeting set for Thursday, Feb. 1

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks Auxiliary will hold its monthly dinner/meeting on Thursday, Feb., 1 at the Elks Lodge. Social time will be at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. – meeting to follow. The meeting will feature a jewelry exchange.

Reservations MUST be made by calling Shirley Gollach at 789-9306 by noon on Monday, Jan. 29.

The automatic reservation list is in effect. Interested members are always welcome to attend.

Stamp and Coin Club meets Feb. 12

ESCANABA — The next meeting for the Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club will be Monday, Feb. 12 at 6: 30 p.m. The meeting is held in the Joseph Heirmann building room 961 at Bay College in Escanaba.

The public is always invited to the meetings. The club is always looking for new members. If you have any coins or stamps needing to be appraised come to our meetings. For further information, please contact Mark Kuehn at 786-2103 or Richard Reiffers at 233-9261.

Dance set for Feb. 11 at Rock senior center

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd, on Sunday, Feb. 11 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Music will be provided by Angels & Outlaws. There is a cost at the door; a free will donation will be accepted for lunch.
