Faith Lutheran Church holds service Sunday

Trinity Episcopal Church holds Epiphany service
GLADSTONE — The Epiphany will be celebrated on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. with a Eucharist service followed by a pot luck meal and “un-greening the church.” Bishop Rayford Ray will preside. All are invited to attend.
On Sunday, The Baptism of Our Lord will be celebrated at Trinity beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Thelma Clarage will preside. The Rev. Suzanne Ray will preach at the service. Church school begins at 10 a.m. Childcare is available during the church service.
The Ministry Support Team will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Trinity Church. Outreach volunteers are needed for Bay College meals, monthly meals at Christ Community sponsored by Trinity Church. If you can volunteer please call the church at 428-4116 and leave your name.

HATI homeless shelter changes locations
ESCANABA — The Salvation Army, 3001 5th Ave. South in Escanaba, will be the next host site for Delta County’s rotating homeless shelter beginning this Sunday evening, Jan. 7. Hope at the Inn operates from November through April each year. Donations are always needed and appreciated, and may be sent to HATI c/o The Salvation Army, PO Box 424, Escanaba, MI 49829, or call Mjr. Hansen at 786-0590.
St. Thomas breakfast
ESCANABA — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1820 9th Ave N., Escanaba, will be serving breakfast this Sunday, Jan. 7, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the parish hall. The delicious menu includes all your favorites: pancakes, eggs, potatoes, sausage, toast, coffee and juice. All are welcome. There is a fee to attend the breakfast.
Monthly story time at Delta Animal Shelter
ESCANABA — The Delta Animal Shelter will be holding “Happy Tails Story Time” on the first Saturday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the shelter located in Escanaba.
Kids ages 3-5 years old are welcome. There will be animal related stories, followed by activities and an opportunity to meet some animal guests. There is no fee for this program, but the shelter requests that participants each bring an item from their wish list to help the animals being cared for.
