GLADSTONE — Third Graders at James T. Jones School spent the month of November learning about Native American culture. Keith Knecht was invited to the school to teach the students about the lives of the Anishnawabe or the first people that inhabited the area of the Upper Peninsula. At the end of the month, the Native American Education group along with Duane Kinnart celebrated with a powwow where the children enjoyed dancing, singing, drumming and yummy fry bread.
