GLADSTONE — The Gladstone-Rapid River Kiwanis Club will hold its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony tonight, Nov. 24 at 8:15 p.m at the Gladstone Beach House. The tree will be lit with Honor and Remembrance Lights recognizing individuals who have lights purchased in their names.

This ceremony will immediately follow the Gladstone Old Fashioned Christmas Festivities held in downtown Gladstone. Santa will be present and music will be provided by the Cowen German Band. Free cookies and hot chocolate will be served. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Honor and Remembrance Light request forms are available at Elmer’s County Market, Viau’s Supermarket, Pat’s IGA, Gladstone City Hall and Rapid River Mini Mart.

As always, individuals honored with lights will have their name in the paper following the holidays. The tree will be lit each night through Jan. 3, 2018.Courtesy photo The star and lights are added to the 24-foot tree.
