Opportunity offered to save memories

ESCANABA — OSF Hospice is offering the “Life Memories” program. The Life Memories program allows OSF Hospice patients who are in the final stages of life the opportunity to relive and relate their memories for their loved ones. Volunteers conduct the person’s “life story” interviews and record them to DVD. The program is a free service to their patients and their families. All information is kept confidential. Those interested in participating should contact OSF Hospice at 786-3915.

School retirees to tour student coffee house

MANISTIQUE — School retirees will be touring “The Grind Coffee House”, a project of Upward Community Youth, Inc at 111 River Street at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8. At Noon, attendees will move to the High School Community Room for an update on Manistique Area Schools presented by Principal, John Shiner, lunch and a business meeting. All retired school personnel from Schoolcraft and Eastern Delta Counties welcome and encouraged to attend.

Bay de Noc Kennel Club to meet Thursday

ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Kennel Club members will hold their general meeting on Thursday Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at their building located at 6687 N.75 Drive, Escanaba, just north of the Wells Sports Complex/Ice Arena.

All members and interested public are invited to attend.

Sons of the American Legion meeting set

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Sons of the American Legion Squadron #71 will host a meeting Thursday, Nov. 9 at 7: 30 p.m. at the Gladstone American Legion Post located on 802 Delta Ave. If a person is a male descendant of a veteran who served in the time of war or conflict, they are eligible for membership.

Senior center an escape from winter blues

GLADSTONE — Winter is coming. Why stay at home when you and your friends, can come to the Gladstone Senior Center for entertainment and a great lunch every weekday at 11:30 a.m. If you are a 60 year old or older you can get a delicious balanced meal for a donation. There is a different meal each day and a monthly schedule of the meals is available at the Senior Center. Come in to learn more about the opportunities that the Center has to offer.

Rapid River Relic Riders to meet Wednesday

RAPID RIVER — The Rapid River Relic Riders will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the ‘Clubhouse’ at 10474 S. Main St., in Rapid River to discuss plans for the upcoming Rapid River Relic Riders Show and Swap on January 27, 2018 at the Rapid River Lions Club.

Veterans Day dinner planned in Hermansville

HERMANSVILLE — The Floriano-Stecker American Legion Post #340 will be holding a Veterans Day Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at the Legion Club in Hermansville. Social hour starting at 4 p.m. with dinner starting at 6 p.m. All Legion Members, Auxiliary Members, VVA Members, Sons of American Legion, and Their Spouses and Guests are invited.
