Haines graduates from WMU

KALMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan University’s (WMU) official graduation list for the 2017 summer I and summer II sessions has been released. The University’s 2017 summer I and II session exercises took place June 24.

Area local students included: Elijah L. Haines, of Escanaba, with a Master of Arts of Orientation and Mobility for Children.

WMU students officially graduate at the end of the University’s four academic terms. These terms, and the month in which they usually end, are: fall semester, December; spring semester, April; summer I session, June; and summer II session, August. The University conducts formal commencement ceremonies for all but summer II session graduates, who have the option of participating in the June commencement ceremonies. The next formal commencement, the 2017 fall semester exercises, will take place Saturday, Dec. 16. The official list of those graduates is expected to be released in February 2018.
