All-you-can eat

pancake breakfast

HERMANSVILLE — The Floriano-Stecker-Kelly American Legion Post 340 is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast at the American Legion Hall in Hermansville on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 8 to 11 a.m. The menu includes: scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, toast, coffee, orange juice, applesauce, and sausage. There is a fee to attend the breakfast. Adults over 90 and children five and younger are free.

Proceeds go towards the community, veterans, and legion activities. The public is invited.

Rock Dance Nov. 12

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Maple Ridge Road., on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m. Enjoy the music of Just The Two Of Us. There is a cost to attend. Free will donation lunch will be available also. For more information, call Alice at 356-6588. All proceeds benefit our Senior Corporation.

Garden Society Historical

holds dinner meeting

GARDEN — Members of the Garden Peninsula Historical Society are invited to attend the final dinner meeting on Monday, Oct. 23 at Sidetracked Restaurant and Golf Course. It will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed by a buffet at 6 p.m. The dinner cost will include two entrees, salad bar, dessert and coffee or tea. The tip is not included.

Purple Heart 1976

meeting on Oct. 26

ESCANABA — The Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) Chapter 1976 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the clubhouse building, 1202 Sheridan Road. Hermansville office hours

HERMANSVILLE — Mike Dellisse, Menominee County Veterans Service Officer, has office hours on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Floriano-Stecker-Kelly American Legion Hall in Hermansville.

Veterans or widows who need assistance with the Veterans Administration, claims with the Veterans Administration, Agent Orange, headstones, grave-markers, or information on the Oscar Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iron Mountain should see Dellisee.

Dellisee can help with questions on the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund for Menominee County.

Senior line dancing

GLADSTONE — Line dancing is offered at the Gladstone Senior Center each Friday. Absolute beginners meet from 9 to 10 a.m., and regular beginners meet from 10 to 11 a.m. No partner is needed. The activity is free to all area seniors. Membership is not required.
