Veterans Council to

hold meeting tonight

ESCANABA — Delta County Veterans Council will hold its next regular meeting at 7 p.m. tonight, at the Purple Heart Building, 1202 Sheridan Road.

Kennel Club holds

meeting Thursday

ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Kennel Club will hold its next general meeting on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Kennel Club Building at 6687 N.75 Dr., Escanaba, just north of the Wells Sports Complex, next to the baseball field. The public is welcome to attend.

Bay de Noc Kennel Club will be holding agility trials on Sept. 16-17 outside on the fenced grounds of the Kennel Club. This event begins at 9:30 a.m. and involves dogs competing over jumps and other obstacles throughout the day. The public is welcome to observe.

Kiwanis Time Capsule

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Rapid River Kiwanis Club will dig up the 25 year Kiwanis Time Capsule on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. at the pavilion near the Kids Kingdom in Van Cleve Park. The contents will be revealed. Free hot dogs and soda will be available to those in attendance.

Fall festival to be held

in Hermansville

HERMANSVILLE — A fall festival will be held at the IXL Historical Museum, W5551 River Street, Hermansville, on Sunday, Sept. 17, from noon to 4 p.m. Crafters, specialty foods, a gardeners’ market, and face painting will be available. The event will be cancelled for inclement weather.

ISABELLA — The 2nd Annual Fall Craft Show will be held at the Isabella Community Hall on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be available for purchase.

Historical society holds

meeting Sept. 26

NAHMA — The Nahma Township Historical Society will hold its final seasonal meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. at the museum. A dinner will follow the meeting at the Nahma Inn.
