Local students graduate from NMU

MARQUETTE — Northern Michigan University announced its graduates. The following students satisfied their degree requirements in May 2017: earning certificates were, Chase Pinar, of Cornell; Cody Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Nicholas King, Andrew Kolich, Eric Lapalm, and Jacob Moras, all of Escanaba; and Anthony Walters, of Manistique.

Gage Deeter, Kyle Solis, and Anthony Wilson, all of Escanaba; Michael Clark, and Austin Cossette, of Gladstone; Breanna Bosanic, of Manistique; and Carly Hansen, of Rock, all earned associate degrees.

Baccalaureate degrees went to the following students: Michael Carlson, and Elise Oswald, of Bark River; Nolan Lukasik, Lucas Moreau, and Wade Schetter of Carney; Brianna Johnson, of Cooks; Michael Cretens, Jordan Kowalski, Justin Therrian, and Molly Williams, all of Cornell; Luke Anthony, Danielle Boucher, Alanna Cooper, Jalyn Dagenais, Jeremy Degrand, Sean Kenny, Gary Lewis, Melissa Miller, and Megan Thomma, all of Escanaba; Anthony Capodilupo, Kali Dykes, Holly Ettenhofer, Holly Fitzpatrick, Paul Flaminio, Halie Marmalick, and Zachary Sturdy, all of Gladstone; Flor Brewster, Darby Demers, and Kyle Tiglas, of Manistique; Geno Constantino, of Rapid River; and Jesse Wery, of Wilson.

Allison Rae, of Escanaba, took home a masters degree; and Jason Porath, of Escanaba, earned education specialist.
