Legion Post 71

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 welcomes the public to an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. to noon the third Sunday of each month. The breakfast will include ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, cheesy hashbrowns, fried potatoes, hash, biscuits and gravy, toast, coffee, orange juice, omelets to order, pancakes, French toast, and sweets. Cost for adults in $7, and $3 for children under the age of five .

Purple Heart 1976

ESCANABA — The Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) Chapter 1976 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at the clubhouse building, 1202 Sheridan Road. NAMI offers support

ESCANABA — The local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will meet Thursday, May 18, in room 961 of the Heirman University Center at Bay College at 6 p.m. John Gagnon, therapist with Bellin Health in Escanaba will be speaking about severe depression and other mood disorders starting at 6:30 p.m.

NAMI supports family and friends who are dealing with mental illness, and their loved ones, by educating and sharing experiences. This will be the last meeting until Sept. 21. For more information, call Pat at 789-9464 or Marilyn at 286-1195.

NARFE holds meeting

MARQUETTE — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) Chapter 1900, will meet at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, in room B of the Marquette Senior Center, on the lower level of City Hall, 300 W. Baraga in Marquette. Members may enter from Spring Street, behind City Hall. Spring Street is one-way from east to west.

Spring card party May 20

ISABELLA — The Isabella Community Hall will hold its annual spring card party on Saturday, May 20 at 7 p.m. A $5 fee includes lunch, prizes for high/low, chances at 50/50 and basket raffle. All proceeds and donations benefit the ongoing restoration projects for the Isabella Community Hall.

TRENARY — Come and dance at the Trenary Community Building on Sunday, May 21, from 1 to 5 p.m. Music will be provided by Country Wheels. Everyone is welcome. Admission is $5, with a lunch donation of $3.

Spring Feast to be

held in Gladstone

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Area Schools Indian Education Program will hold its annual spring feast on Sunday, May 21. The annual potluck dinner also honors the graduating class of 2017. The feast is held from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Jones Junior High cafeteria, located on 10th Street. The entrance is next to the Gladstone Library. This will be a potluck dinner. Bring a dish to pass. Giveaways, and drumming will be available. The public is welcome.

holds 40th reunion

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Class of 1977 will hold their 40th reunion on Saturday, July 1, at the Gladstone Yacht Club, starting at 6 p.m. Cost is $15 per person, which includes pulled pork and an appetizer buffet. A cash bar will be available.
