North Woods Place

hosts card party

ESCANABA — North Woods Place Senior Living invites all ladies in our community to attend the first ladies card party. The card party is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at North Woods Place Senior Living, 501 South Lincoln Road. There is no charge for this event.

Enjoy an afternoon of fun, food and friendship. Choose your own game and bring your own group, bring a friend or come alone and join a table. Prizes, snacks and beverages will be provided. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. To register call Heidi at 789-2268.

Spring concert set

for Palm Sunday

ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Choral Society is presenting its annual Spring concert, Palm Sunday, April 9 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 202 S. 11th Street, Escanaba. The concert will feature is a variety of religious music accompanied with organ, piano, and a brass ensemble.

The featured piece is the “Cantata, God so Loved the World,” written by contemporary composer, Lloyd Larson, a man who in this work provides a stunning, meditative, moving and simply melodious composition of the season of Lent.

The Society is directed by Ann Wood and accompanied by John Ignatowski. There is no admission charge, but a free will offering will be taken. If you have any questions regarding the concert or society membership, contact Mike at 241-7731.

Foster grandparent

meeting scheduled

ESCANABA — The Delta County Foster Grandparent Program will be having an in-service meeting on Tuesday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at the Willow Creek Professional Building, 3500 Ludington St., Escanaba.

Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

The Foster Grandparent Program is administered by MDS Community Action Agency, 507 First Ave. North, Escanaba. If you have any questions, contact Peggy Ramsden, director, or Sara DeMenter, volunteer supervisor at 786-7080.

All-you-can eat

pancake breakfast

HERMANSVILLE — The Floriano-Stecker-Kelly American Legion Post 340 is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast at the American Legion Hall in Hermansville on March Feb. 26, from 8 to 11 a.m. The menu includes: scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, toast, coffee, orange juice, applesauce, and sausage. The cost is $6 for adults and children six to 12 are $3. Adults over 90 and children five and younger are free.

Proceeds go towards the community, veterans, and legion activities. The public is invited.
