Community Grief Group

luncheon Wednesday

ESCANABA — As an extension of the Community Grief Group, OSF Hospice will host a monthly luncheon for bereaved people to gather for informal conversation and support on the third Wednesday of the month on Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at  Drifter’s Restaurant, 710 N. Lincoln Rd., Escanaba.

Meetings are open to the public. Each attendee is responsible for purchasing his or her own lunch. For more information, contact Erik Barnhart or Diane Johnson at (906) 786-4456.

Menominee County

Voiture plans meeting

CARNEY — Menominee County Voiture 1288 of the 40 et 8 will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Stephenson American Legion Post. The Menominee Voiture meets the third Tuesday of every month.

Comedy Club for kids

on Wednesday

GLADSTONE — All area middle schoolers, age 12-14, are welcome to join Comedy Club.  The group will meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Gladstone City Hall from 3:30 to 5 p.m.  Members will perform skits, improv, and stand-up comedy.  Costumes and props are provided. Friends of DATA meeting

GLADSTONE–The next Friends of Delta Area Transit Authority (DATA) meeting will be Jan. 18, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Willow Creek II, 2414 8th Ave. S. GLADSTONE — The Memorial United Methodist Clothes Closet is open each Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gently used clothing is available for all. The church is located at 1920 Lake Shore Drive.

Taco Tuesday at the

Legion Post 71

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 welcomes the public to Taco Tuesday with serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. each week at the Gladstone Legion Hall, 802 Delta Ave. Both hard and soft tacos are available, along with nachos and nachos supreme.

ESCANABA — The Little Bay Zen Buddhist Sangha is a Buddhist Community that practices zazen (sitting meditation), kinhin (walking meditation) and Dharma discussion at The Bonifas Arts Center in downtown Escanaba on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m.

Teamsters retirees

hold meeting

ESCANABA — The Teamsters Retirees Club of Delta County will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at the Civic Center, 225 N. 21st St., Escanaba.

Lunch is at noon., with the meeting to follow at 12:30 p.m. The lunch menu will include: turkey slice, mashed potatoes, green beans, and diced pears. Lunch reservations must be called in at least one day in advance by calling (906)786-8850 between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Reservations can also be called in any day during those hours up to a week before the meeting date.

Living with Alzheimer’s

series starting in January

ESCANABA — There will be a two part series “Living with Alzheimer’s for Caregivers – Late Stage” that will be hosted on Wednesday Jan. 18 and Jan. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. at CAA Adult Day Services, formerly Perspectives Adult Care Center, 2635 1st Ave. S. Escanaba. To RSVP, call (906) 228-3910.
