PowderPuff game donates to Madison’s Chemo Bags

ESCANABA – Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Escanaba High School will be kicking off their week of homecoming festivities with the annual PowderPuff football game. The game will take place at the Escanaba Athletic Field at 6 p.m., with the doors opening at 5 p.m. The game consists of junior class girls playing the girls of the senior class with a traditional game of two-hand touch football. All proceeds raised at the event this year will be given to Madison’s Chemo Bags.

Since early 2015, Madison has been making bags of goodies for those going through chemotherapy. She had the idea when her mother, Nicole, was preparing her own chemotherapy bag during her fight against breast cancer. Ever since, Madison has been brightening the lives of cancer patients across the Upper Peninsula with not only her bags, but her optimism and spirit. She has made a positive impact in the community and in our Eskymo family. There is no entry fee to the game, but donations are strongly encouraged to support Madison’s cause.
