WILSON – Joe and Marilyn Vandermissen of Wilson, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Vandermissen, to Adam Walechka, son of Tony and Lisa Walechka also of Wilson.

The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Bark River- Harris School and graduated from with an associate in applied science degree (RN) from Bay de Noc Community College. She is employed as an licensed practical nurse with Dr. Kasetty in pediatrics at OSF Medical Group in Escanaba.

The future groom is a 2004 graduate of North Central Area School and attended Bay de Noc Community College. He is employed as a certified mechanic for Jay’s Auto in Hermansville.

The couple has set Sept. 24 for their wedding date.
