Potvin’s celebrate 50th

ESCANABA — Robert (Bob) and Sherry (Kidd) Potvin of Escanaba celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was wed June 24, 1967 at St. Josephs in Escanaba.

Original attendants at the ceremony were Jalene Polkey, sister of the bride; Valerie DeGrand, sister of the groom; Jerry Scheriff, friend of the groom; and the late Pat Dahm, friend of the groom.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with a surprise dinner at the Stonehouse, hosted by their children and spouses from Florida, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Bob retired from New Page in 2008 after 37 years. He is an usher at Saniv Potvin1t. Anthony of Padva, volunteers at OSF, belongs to the Upper Michigan model railroad, and enjoys woodworking. Sherry retired from OSF Medical Group in 2007. She is involved with St. Anthony of Padva, and enjoys making and selling crafts for over 40 years.

Their children are Mike (Ashli) Potvin, Brooksville, Fla., Lori (Rob) Edmundson, Waukesha, Wis., Dave Potvin, Gladstone, and Lisa (Russ) Cowart, Conroe, Texas. They also have seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
