NEW LIFE

ESCANABA — Sunday worship services will take place at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and nursery is available for both services. A variety of children and adult discipleship groups are offered in both small and large group settings with specific needs in mind. “Connections” fellowship will be held immediately after each service.

Men’s Bible study gathers Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Christian men’s fellowship coffee hour follows at 8:15 p.m. at Culver’s.

The ladies luncheon is held on the second Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stonehouse.

ESCANABA — First­ Presbyterian Church will host the soup kitchen at the Salvation Army today.

The 10:30 a.m. worship service of the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time will be celebrated with the Lord’s Supper. The service will be led by Pastor Bo Lange and liturgist Carolyn Pelto; additionally, Bill Rinne and Music Director D. Anne Wood will give a musical offering.

The Souper Bowl will be held at the church during Sunday’s service. As part of this, people attending church that day are asked to help fill kettles with non-perishable food or monetary donations. All donations will go to the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul.

Ross Rahoi and Aubree Peterson will lead a dynamic youth DVD study each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. in the upper room.
